Eilling O. Eide Foundation Asian Library and Gallery

Located on a beautiful 72-acre campus on Little Sarasota Bay in Sarasota, this library and gallery is home to an extensive collection of rare books, Asian artifacts, and paintings; the personal library of the Sinologist Elling O. Eide; a colorful Persian ceiling, the featured element of the project.  Inside, a minimalist palette reiterates the black and white exterior, accenting the expansive gardens and surrounding bay. Furnishings for office, conference, gallery and library spaces, are a blend of classic modern and contemporary pieces, in Chinese red and gold, silvers, greys. Custom cabinetry and wood flooring is scribed in natural and dark stained bamboos.
