First Presbyterian Church Sarasota
We worked with David Lowe and Wendy Andres-Lowe over the course of two years while we renovated our entire 1928 sanctuary. Wendy and David helped us with every stage of design for that space, but my favorite is the new chancel furniture that Wendy designed, the pieces were hand built by a local artist. She also developed a simple motif that we used throughout the sanctuary, from the decretive wood panels, to the hanging cross, to the leaded glass in our doors. This beautiful design ties the entire space together.
We also hired Wendy and David for phase two of our renovations, to help with design development. Our goal was to create a welcoming and functional entrance with updated reception and office areas. When the construction was complete the space transformed the appearance offices, now we have space that is inviting and professional.
They helped us bring our vision to life. Our entire campus flows and works together where before everything, structurally and cosmetically, was pieced together over time. Every room and space on our campus now have a cohesive aesthetic, because of the vision that Wendy and David helped us flesh out.
After the structural designs were completed, Wendy worked with us to pick out all the of fixtures, and furniture to complete the design and fulfil our desire to have a warm and welcoming, and functional space that we can enjoy for years to come.
Wendy and David were easy to communicate with verbally in our weekly meeting, they truly listened to what we desired and followed up almost instantly with research and information that we needed. They stayed with us from the beginning stages, which were merely ideas, to the end, guiding us through the successful renovation project of a historic downtown church campus. We highly recommend the DKL design team.
